Sephardic Flavors for Passover – A Virtual Cooking Class & Demo featuring Chef Susan Barocas

From charoset & Seder plate items to spices & dishes, Sephardic Passover foods differ greatly from Ashkenazic. Travel to Spain, Turkey, Morocco and other parts of the world beyond Eastern Europe with Chef Susan Barocas on Zoom to discover tasty new ideas and dishes to make your Passover delicious and unique! Class will include cooking demos.
Class Menu:
Moroccan Charoset Balls (with a nut-free option)
Chicken with Preserved Lemons and Olives
Anchusa (spinach, onion and egg casserole)
About the chef: Susan Barocas is a writer, chef, teacher and cooking coach with a passion for healthy cooking and Jewish history and food, especially Sephardic cuisines. Founding director of the innovative Jewish Food Experience, she served as guest chef for three Seders in the Obama White House. Click here for more information on Susan. You may cook along with Susan during the class or watch the program and cook later with the recording of the event.
Zoom link will be sent with your receipt. Ingredients will be emailed two weeks before the class and recipes will be emailed on Friday, March 12 so you can do prep work before the class.

General Community: $15 per household
