David Katz led the research to broker the United Arab Emirates sponsoring this joint Israeli-Jordanian project.
"I'll definitely talk about it some in my lecture,” says David Katz. “This talk presents an overview of the dynamic role of water in Arab-Israeli relations, covering its role in regional geopolitics & economics from the early days of statehood to the present Abraham Accords with the Gulf states."
David Katz, currently on sabbatical as an Israel Institute Visiting Scholar at Duke University Nicholas School of Environment, is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Haifa in the Dept. of Geography & Environmental Studies, specializing in environmental & natural resource policy & economics. His projects of trans-boundary water management specialize in Israeli-Palestinian-Jordanian relations.
