JCC Speaker Luncheon

  • David R. Kahn Community Campus 12804 Norwood Road Raleigh, NC, 27613 United States (map)

Program Description: As great loss grips Israel today, and as we commemorate Khristalnacht, we look to an inspiring life of resistance and survival, the life of Ludwig Wurzelmann, a hero of the Shoa.  Warsaw born Ludwig miraculously escaped Nazi captivity and fled into the dense forest where he began a life of heroism, joining the partisans to wage a guerilla war against the mighty Wehrmacht.  Ludwig's son, Dr. John Wurzelmann, will relate the remarkable life story of his late father.

Dr John Wurzelmann, keynote speaker at the 2023 Chapel Hill. Holocaust Commemoration, is a retired physician.  An accomplished speaker, he has been giving presentations for the Holocaust Speaker’s Bureau for several years.
