Program Description: J Sports is hosting our Super Strikers Soccer League in Fall 2023, an 8-week recreational league. The league will play on Sunday mornings beginning September 10th, 2023, at 1:00 PM. Each game day will consist of a 20-minute practice, followed by a break and ending with a game between two teams.
This league will serve as a recreational skill-building league for 1st – 3rd grade participants that will provide skills development which enhances the basics of soccer, including drills in passing, dribbling, and shooting and adds a competitive aspect.
This recreational league is structured as a skill first league with a focus on developing hand-eye coordination, listening skills, good sportsmanship, and teamwork! Each week, teams will work on enhancing different skills while building on the previous weeks. The first 20 minutes will focus on drills and skill building after which players will take a halftime break; the final 30 minutes will be set aside for games; games begin October 15th.
All games will be 6-on-6, including a goalie, with a maximum of 10 players per team. The first half of the game will be broken up into quarters to ensure each player has equal playing time in the first half. Please have your participant each day bring cleats, shin guards and a ball; shin guards will be required for this league.
Players returning from Fall 2022 will be placed back on the same team. New players will be placed on a team needing players. Players of head coaches will be automatically placed with the coach; siblings will also be placed together unless otherwise stated. All team requests will be reviewed, but placement cannot be guaranteed.
