Program Description: All community members are invited to the Jewish Federation of Greater Raleigh’s 2024 Annual Meeting & Board of Trustees Installation featuring Keynote Speaker, Ilana Kaufman, CEO of the Jews of Color Initiative.
Join Ilana Kaufman, CEO of the Jews of Color Initiative, for an inspiring presentation that highlights the founding of JoCI, the critical work done by the nonprofit to advance racial equity, and the historical presence of diverse Jews, dating back to the 1700s. Ilana will also share high-level research data that underscores the racial and cultural diversity within American Jewry, and illuminate how racism impacts Jews of Color. The presentation will close with an empowering invitation to take meaningful action toward creating a more inclusive and just Jewish future.
At the meeting we will come together as a community, discuss our vision for the next year, hear keynote speaker Ilana Kaufman and install our new board.
