The 2024 State of North Carolina Holocaust Commemoration will be held Sunday, April 28, 2024, 3:00 pm, at Temple Beth Or, 5315 Creedmoor Rd, Raleigh, NC 27612

The Featured Speaker is Anna Salton Eisen, the daughter of two Holocaust survivors. Ms. Eisen is a Jewish educator, an interviewer for Steven Spielberg’s Shoah Foundation, and the author of two books: (1) The 23rd Psalm: A Holocaust Memoir, relating her father's experience as a Polish teenager surviving slave labor and concentration camps in Poland, Germany, and France; and (2) Pillar of Salt: A Daughter's Life in the Shadow of the Holocaust, recounting how her discovery of her father's paintings of Nazi atrocities led to their joint pursuit of the family's past in Poland.

The Annual Commemorations feature

• Presentations by state officials, clergy, and others

• A candle-lighting ceremony
