JOIN US APRIL 7-14 FOR THE THE FIFTH ANNUAL JEWISH BOOK FESTIVAL
Come to the in-person events or tune in virtually where you’ll be able to listen as authors read excerpts from their books, answer your questions, and share their inspiration and challenges in writing these works.
Each day of the festival at 1:00pm we will feature a conversation with a different author via Zoom. Take a long lunch and join us! There are two evening Zoom events as well if you can't join us midday.
There are also a few in-person events to highlight:
Sunday 4/7 at 1:00: Kickoff the festival with a conversation with Dr. Rosanne Leipzig, author of Honest Aging about taking control of your health and well-being in the second half of your life.
Tuesday 4/9 at 1:00: Award winning journalist Jessica Nordell will discuss implicit bias and how to change behavior to become less discriminatory and more humane. You can join at home via Zoom OR come to Beth El Synagogue for lunch and discuss with your peers while Jessica joins the group via Zoom.
Sunday 4/13 is Family Day for the Book Festival!
Join us at the Levin JCC at 1:00 for a discussion with comic book writer Arnon Shorr to hear about his book Ben Mortara and the Thieves of the Golden Temple.
At 2:30, Arnon Shorr will be joined virtually by YA Author Susan Wilder to discuss her book In My Whole Life about a young artist hiding her art during WW2.
This program is a unique partnership between Beth El Synagogue, Judea Reform Congregation, the Jewish Book Council, and Jewish for Good.
