Sunday Funday Brings Out the Best In Our Community
The last several weeks have been difficult, both for our Jewish community and Greater Raleigh as a whole. That's why I was so glad to be back on our campus last Sunday, doing what we do best--bringing people together.
Over 400 people came to the David R. Kahn Community Campus to attend our first Sunday Funday. The Senior Resource Fair provided knowledge that empowered older adults and their families to take control of their futures. The It's Fall Y'All Family Tailgate provided young families with opportunities to paint pumpkins, bounce around, and toss around footballs.
My favorite part of our Sunday Funday was our Jewish Organization & Business pavilion. It was a rare opportunity to meet almost all Jewish organizations in our county, from synagogues to youth groups to advocacy organizations to performing arts groups. Seeing representatives from these organizations all under one roof was a powerful reminder of how much our Jewish community has grown, and what we can accomplish when we work together.
