Lions Luncheon Celebrates Women Leaders
Tuesday, we hosted our annual Lions of Judah Luncheon to honor and celebrate some of the amazing women who lead our community. At the event, Carole Guld remembered the first Lions gathering where there were only five Lions there, and shared how remarkable it was that we have grown to over 40 Lions in our community.
At the luncheon, we were excited to share the impact that Federation is making thanks to our Lions of Judah as well as all our donors and volunteers. Thanks to our supporters:
We are are feeding families through our food pantry – the only kosher food pantry in Raleigh - which provided over 20,000 meals in 2021.
We are providing emergency aid to over 40 families in need of help paying their heating bills in the winter.
We are welcoming over 250 children with a Jewish summer camp experience where they are making lifelong friends and strengthening their Jewish identity
We are ensuring that hundreds of new families moving to our area are being welcomed by our staff and volunteer leaders
We are amplifying the voice of our Jewish community so that local government, school boards, and allied partners know about the Jewish community and the importance of standing up to antisemitism and other hatreds we face.
We felt so energized spending time with our Lions of Judah on Tuesday, and we feel so honored knowing the work we do on behalf of the Jewish Federation is supported by such amazing leaders as them!
