Celebrate Jewish American Heritage Month at Wake County Public Libraries

May is Jewish American Heritage Month, a time for recognizing Jewish contributions to American culture, history, military, science, government, and more. This year, we are excited to celebrate with the Wake County Public Libraries! Each library in Wake County will have a display of books featuring Jewish authors and topics. Jewish Culture Through Food

From challah to matzoh, come learn about Jewish culture and traditions through food! Samples of food will be provided during the program.

A Taste of Jewish Culture, featuring Magnolia Klezmer Band

Artist Evelyn Goldman’s papercutting work is deeply influenced by Jewish stories and tradition, where each piece is a story, a blend of cultural heritage and personal narrative. Drop by to view her artwork and watch as she works on a current piece. Help us prepare meal bags for neighbors in need as we practice the Jewish value of tikkun olam through acts of service. All materials provided; meal bags will be donated to a local organization that serves people experiencing food insecurity.
