POSITION: Pickleball Specialist
REPORTS TO: Sr. Director of Engagement
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Pickleball Specialist for the JCC of Greater Raleigh is part of a dynamic and experienced team. The primary responsibilities of this position include teaching, developing curriculum and supervising instructors for pickleball programming. You will be expected to provide hands-on direct service in addition to coordinating the programs.
Core Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Work with supervisor to understand and implement the vision and strategy plan that aligns with JCC growth objectives.
Plan and/or teach instructional pickleball classes.
Handle administration of leagues and classes.
Assist in the development and distribution of participant and staff communications.
Actively seek feedback from program participants and have ongoing assessment of programs.
Work with JCC Registrar to prepare internal documents and communications for seasonal programs.
Assist with hiring, training and supervising part-time pickleball staff if needed.
Work with the supervisor to develop, implement and to ensure compliance with program budgets.
Work with supervisor to identify key external partners that help JCC reach its goals.
Proactively foster, develop and maintain relationships in the community that will allow JCC to enhance and expand pickleball programming.
Maintain personal contact with program participants, soliciting feedback and developing relationships.
Actively pursue an understanding of all JCC programs in order to provide the seamless stewardship of families through Agency offerings.
Experience & Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of pickleball.
Enthusiasm, adaptability, dependability, and an excellent work ethic.
Professionalism and excellent customer service skills.
Strong office, organizational, and time management skills and computer skills. (Word, Excel, Outlook, Mail Chimp, ability to learn new database/software)
First Aid/CPR/AED certification
Must be available to work evening and weekend hours
WORK SCHEDULE:
Pickleball leagues and classes are primarily held on Sunday morning through early afternoon, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The weeknight schedule may vary based on what leagues and classes are being offered during a season.
