Courageous Conversation: Supporting Our Jewish Community

Presented by the Triangle Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Alliance, a program of the Raleigh Chamber, this series of facilitated seminars provides opportunities for attendees to learn history, share experiences, and develop pathways of understanding to support diversity, equity, and inclusivity. Recent topics have addressed anti Asian racism and violence, recruiting and retaining exceptional young Black talent, second chance hiring, and creating a respectful workplace for natural hair.

With the rise nationally of antisemitic speech and incidents, which include recent actions in our community, now is the time to address ways we can support members of the Jewish community in Wake County and have discussions about what can be done to prevent future hateful rhetoric. Education is one piece of the puzzle, as a foundational understanding of what Judaism is can help answer questions about a culture that many, even in our region, do not have experiences with in their daily lives.  As members of the business community, how can companies implement education and support in the workplace by focusing on different cultural traditions to help foster an inclusive environment for all people?

Join the Triangle DEI Alliance for Courageous Conversation: Supporting the Jewish Community, a panel discussion in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Raleigh/Cary to discuss antisemitism and how our community can come together as one to heal and fight hate in our region. Our speakers will be:

  • Phil Brodsky, executive director, Jewish Federation of Raleigh-Cary

  • Jasmine Medoff, senior director, and product and services consultant, Fidelity Investments

  • Rabbi Eric Solomon, Beth Meyer Synagogue
