Phil Friday: Expanding to Western Wake
I am so excited about our recent work to reach people in Apex, Holly Springs, and Cary.
With the Jewish community expanding in all directions, Federation is committed to serving and bringing community to you, wherever you live across Greater Raleigh.
For example, in the last couple of months, we have:
Held a networking event at a brewery in Apex that reached over 40 people.
Met with the Wake County Board of Education to discuss how to properly respond to antisemitic bullying in Apex middle schools.
Hosted PJ Library in the Park at Kelly Road Park in Apex, which reached over 60 adults and children excited to connect with each other.
Organized a planning meeting at Beth Shalom to brainstorm a new speaker luncheon series in Western Wake.
We have several more events in Western Wake coming up this year, and everyone is invited no matter where you live. Make sure to check our community calendar for the latest information on our programs.
Additionally, if you are interested in hosting a program in your area, contact Senior Director of Engagement Mindy Lawton at Mindy.Lawton@shalomraleigh.org.
Also, I look forward to seeing you at our next PJ Library in the Park event in Morrisville or our next Federation Connection Happy Hour in Wake Forest.
Shabbat Shalom,
Phil
