Phil Friday: Impact Halfway Through the Year
It’s hard to believe we are halfway through 2023 already.
So much has happened, and I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished already this year.
In the past six months, our community has:
Provided 13,688 kosher meals to individuals and families facing food insecurity or social isolation.
Engaged 4,159 participants in community events and programs, including at our new Federation Connection events and our 10th Annual Good Deeds Day.
Delivered Jewish books to 828 PJ Library families each month, giving parents and children the opportunity to share Jewish traditions and values.
Celebrated Israel with over 600 people on our campus at our Yom Ha'Atzmaut event in May.
Empowered 125 older adults through programs like our Redefining Aging series.
Educated over 100 Raleigh Chamber members on antisemitism at our Courageous Conversation panel in January.
Raised over $425,000 in 24 hours, which helped support all of the above and more during our Shine the Light Campaign in June.
A major thank you goes out to all of our volunteers, board members, professional staff, and especially the 582 individual donors who have supported our organization so far this year.
We cannot build a great community without you.
And, we’re just getting started! I can’t wait for the rest of the year together!
Shabbat Shalom,
Phil
